UPPSC Inspector of Drugs Recruitment 2026

Candidates must possess one of the following: (1) Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences, (2) MBBS with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology, or (3) Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) from a recognized university.

Yes, relevant experience is mandatory. Candidates must have either 18 months' experience in manufacturing Schedule 'C' drugs, 18 months' experience in testing Schedule 'C' drugs in an approved laboratory, or 3 years' experience as a Drug Inspector inspecting Schedule 'C' manufacturing units for State or Central Government.

General/OBC/EWS: ₹105 (₹80 exam fee + ₹25 processing fee), SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen: ₹65 (₹40 exam fee + ₹25 processing fee), PH (Divyang): ₹25 (processing fee only). Payment is made online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

The position is at Level-8 in the Pay Matrix with basic salary ranging from ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100 per month, plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other government benefits.

Minimum age: 21 years, Maximum age: 40 years (as on 01/07/2026). OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation (max 43 years), SC/ST get 5 years relaxation (max 45 years). Age relaxations are also available for ex-servicemen and persons with disability as per UP government rules.

Inspectors of Drugs are responsible for enforcement of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, inspection of drug manufacturing and testing units, quality control verification, regulatory compliance monitoring, verification of drug licenses and manufacturing processes, and ensuring Schedule 'C' drugs are handled according to pharmaceutical regulations.
