UPSC CDS-II 2025 Result — 9,085 Candidates Qualified for SSB Interview Rounds

The UPSC CDS II written examination was conducted on November 2, 2024. Answer keys were released on November 18, 2024. The final written exam result was declared on February 4, 2026. The result includes qualifying candidates for SSB interview.

You can check your result on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. Download the qualified candidates list PDF from the Results section. Search for your name and roll number. If your name appears, you are qualified for SSB interview. Detailed marks can be obtained through UPSC portal.

After qualifying the written exam, you will receive a call letter from the respective SSB center for interview. SSB interviews typically start 2-3 months after result declaration. You must report on the specified date with all required documents including passport, educational certificates, and medical records.

SSB interviews for CDS II 2025 qualified candidates are expected to commence from April 2026 and continue until August 2026. Exact dates and SSB center allocation will be mentioned in individual call letters issued by UPSC to qualified candidates.

OTA (Officer Training Academy) is for graduates without any service experience, offering permanent commission in Army. Short Service Commission (SSC) is for engineers and graduates for Navy and Air Force with fixed service tenure of 10-14 years. SSC can convert to permanent commission after completion.

Bring original passport, Aadhar card, birth certificate, educational certificates (10th, 12th, graduation), medical reports, migration certificates if applicable, character certificates from school and college, and two passport-size photographs. Do not carry photocopies unless specifically instructed by SSB.

CDS officers get starting salary of ₹56,100 per month (approximately) with allowances and various benefits. Armed Forces Officers get Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500-₹17,500 per month additionally. Promotion to higher ranks increases salary substantially. Post-retirement pension is highly attractive.

Age limit for CDS is 19-25 years for OTA and 20-26 years for SSC. Serving officers and ex-servicemen get age relaxation as per government rules. No relaxation for SC/ST/OBC in general CDS, but reservation in selection after qualifying scores is provided.

The training at Officer Training Academy (OTA) is a 49-week permanent commission course. This includes physical training, military academics, weapon training, leadership development, and field exercises. After OTA graduation, officers are commissioned and posted to their respective units across India.
